A little more information

You get to choose
where to begin.

What if it happened a long time ago?

You still deserve support. You can explore resources for adult survivors of childhood abuse or ask a provider about help for past experiences.

What if the person was a family member?

Incest and sexual abuse within families belong in this conversation. You do not owe anyone silence to protect a family’s reputation. RAINN and Childhelp are starting points for exploring support.

Can I find help for a man or boy?

Yes. RAINN is a starting point for sexual assault support. 1in6 focuses on adult male survivors; Childhelp provides resources concerning child abuse. Check age requirements with each provider.

Do I have to share my story here?

No. This site does not accept personal accounts or operate a chat service. Links take you to independent providers, each with its own privacy practices.
